Enjoy our common rooms

Library, fireplace and
breakfast parlour

You are welcome to use our three ground floor parlours, which are equipped with cosy sofas, armchairs and tables. Cuddle up in front of the beautifully designed open fireplace or use the library to swap a book. As Mirko, one of the owners, is a writer himself, he surely has a tip for you.

Throughout the house you’ll find a mix of contemporary and mid-century design, ethno objects, selected antique pieces and modern art. On display, among others, are works by Chantal Michel, Martin Guggisberg, Christof Vetsch, Daniel Suter, Tran Phuc Duyen and Barbara Kiener.

Outdoors

From the Maison Bergdorf you have a stunning view of the Jungfrau and the backyard mountain of Interlaken, the Harder. You can also see the historic Interlaken castle.

Our veranda is uniquely spacious and – sheltered under a big roof – you can enjoy it in any weather.

Relax on our terrace under the purple wisteria or wander around our wild romantic garden. And if the weather is right, you can also enjoy your breakfast on the terrace.

Interlaken lies in the Bernese Oberland on an alluvial plain between Lake Thun and Lake Brienz. The vacation destination, which is presided over by the three mighty mountains, Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau, is the starting point for numerous activities.

Interlaken is the perfect spot for a trip into the mountains. The castle and the beautiful river Aare are only 10 minutes walking distance away from our house.

And the town itself has a lot to offer, too.
